HH Partners, attorneys-at-law supported Veikkaus Oy in drafting open source guidelines and in developing practices related to the use of open source software.
Veikkaus is a Finnish, state-owned gaming company that was established at the beginning of 2017 when Fintoto, Finland’s Slot Machine Association (RAY), and the former Veikkaus merged. Veikkaus exclusively offers various types of gambling games in mainland Finland, such as Lotto and other lottery games, slot machines, and other casino games, betting and toto games, as well as scratch cards.
HH Partners is a law firm focused on technology, intellectual property rights, and corporate transactions. The open technology team at HH Partners consists of five lawyers and an intern. One of the lawyers also acts as a developer. Recently, the work in open technology has focused on guideline projects, open source compliance work, compliance automation, and collaboration models, including advising on code publishing.
