The domestically owned Scancerco Ltd became an international operator through the acquisition on 30.10.2017 when 47 % of the company’s shares were sold to Austrian Ascalon Holding GmbH. The remaining shares will remain in private ownership. HH Partners acted as a legal advisor for the sellers in the transaction.

Scancerco Ltd is a trusted supplier of the door, window and construction industry. The product range includes door and window fittings, DK-fittings, profile systems, skylights, and products of building chemistry, air intake valves and air filters. Scanfinn Ltd, founded in 1976, and Biobe Ltd, founded in 1991, has been merged with their holding company Scancerco Ltd since 1.3.2017. The business know-how and the wide range of products of the companies are now available under one roof.
With the acquisition, Scancerco Ltd’s supplier contacts are on the rise, enabling customers a wider range of products, both in terms of new products, product solutions and product categories, offering products also to customers’ export markets.
Ascalon Holding GmbH is among others the majority shareholder of the market leader of the industry VBH and the German ESCO Metallbausysteme GmbH. VBH has been a long –standing partner for Scancerco and Biobe Ltd and Scanfinn Ltd before the dissolution of their group structure.
